How To Sabotage Your Own Success When Applying for Cruise Jobs!

 As the old saying goes: "You never get a second chance to make a first impression!"

Each week we receive thousands of emails from hopeful cruise job seekers around the world…

Unfortunately we are continually amazed at just how many applicants are using HIGHLY UN-professional email addresses to apply for cruise jobs.

For example this week, in one day alone, we received enquiries from:

* bryan_campbell_kicks_ass @ xxxx.com
* nymphosarah69 @ xxxx.com
* boneidlemick @ xxxx.com
* psycho_ken @ xxxx.com

(Email provider deleted to protect the guilty :)

What impression of the applicant do you think these email addresses would convey to a luxury cruise line recruiter when an email like the above hits their inbox?

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that these applicants are actually sabotaging their own success by using, what are frankly, stupid email addresses to apply for cruise jobs.

Let’s face it, if YOU were a recruiter, would you feel comfortable about letting one of your crew on board share a cabin with somebody who calls himself "Psycho Ken"?

Would YOU consider hiring somebody for a demanding role on board who had an email address that started with "Bone Idle Mick"?

Probably not!

And there’s plenty more examples like this (and worse!) we see on a weekly basis.

New Year, New Email Address?

If you have a "normal" email address then great. However, here’s an effective tip you can use right now to make yourself standout from the competition and increase the likelihood of your emailed applications getting opened and read:

Set up a distinctive email address that you use exclusively for your cruise ship job applications which also tells the recruiter who you are and what jobs you’re applying for.

Here’s some examples that some of our members are using effectively:

* barman_pete @ xxxx.com
* clara_pianist @ xxxx.com
* sarah_childcare @ xxxx.com
* purserjobs_emma @ xxxx.com

You can set up as many email addresses as you like using a free service like Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo.

Here’s an article that discusses this topic in more detail and reveals a simple but highly effective technique you can use to boost the power of your emailed applications even more.

Some of our members have already reported seeing IMMEDIATE results by applying this.
