I think that sending a cover letter with any application should be done, like you said it shows professionalism and that this is a person that wants to be noticed, that is giving their all for this job. It shows the type of person one is.

I have to say that this was something that I had noticed trying to get onto a cruise ship is one of the hardest things to do, and you are so right the best way is to just send in ones CV and apply for everything you are bound to get something even if its not what you wanted to start with but you can always start there and once you are in then apply for the job you want.

I have just stumbled by this site, I am just loving it, its great and interesting.

This was interesting to read, with some fantastic information, which I wish I had when I was younger as this is something that I would have loved to have done when I left school, and its a great why to travel, and this way one can really save ones earnings.
